*at least 25% less sugar than the top 3 leading fruit yoghurt brands: siggi’s 7-9g vs. 10-16g per 100g
siggi’s begins in 2004 when Siggi Hilmarsson felt homesick for a staple of his childhood diet, skyr, a thick, creamy, high-protein yoghurt from his native Iceland. The yoghurts he found on shelves in the US were much too sweet and artificial for his liking.
Using a recipe Siggi's mother sent, he began making skyr in his small New York City kitchen. It tasted like home.
Within just a few months, Siggi quit his day job, bought a whole lot of dairy equipment, and siggi’s dairy was born.
True to Icelandic tradition, siggi’s products do not contain any artificial preservatives, thickeners, sweeteners, flavours or colours. We are proud to use fresh milk from Australian farms.
siggi’s dairy is fully committed to making rather delicious yoghurt products with simple ingredients and not a lot of sugar*.
